Free decision tool

Promise only what your workday can keep.

A useful voicemail starts with an operating decision—not a clever sentence. Choose when you really review messages, the one detail you need, and whether another contact route is truly monitored.

Build the promise before the script

Promise plan
“We return new calls between 4 and 6 PM on weekdays. Please leave your name, callback number, and your service type and neighborhood.”

Keep-it test

  • • A caller can tell when the next response begins.
  • • The alternate route is actually checked.
  • • The request collects one useful decision detail.

Why this comes first

Wording cannot repair an unreliable promise.

“As soon as possible” sounds polite, but callers cannot use it to decide what happens next. A protected callback block or a next-business-day boundary is clearer—and easier for a small team to keep.

What not to add

More channels are not always more helpful.

Do not send callers to text, email, and a booking page at once. Offer one route only when it produces a different, monitored next step. Otherwise keep the message simple and own the callback.
